Newark Hawkins Elementarybeyond the walls partners with Safe Haven Urban Redemption

beyond the walls volunteers have had opportunities to participate in the work of Safe Haven Urban Redemption in Newark, New Jersey as that organization seeks to empower the youth of the city through education and development of their spiritual, creative and intellectual abilities. We have provided support for building renovations and equipment/supplies for a music studio, karate class, and computer lab.

A team of beyond the walls volunteers, working alongside parents and students and Safe Haven staffers, recently painted the Hawkins Street Elementary School in the Ironbound section of Newark.
